The new circuit in the A9S can now accept up to 2x 16340/CR123 cells without the need to rundown for 3 minutes on low,
but seems to better suited for 18650 cells.

Thanks for the review x2x3x2. I know these are a lot of work - well done.

Not surprisingly, I see the new A9 circuit is not as tightly regulated on 18650 as the A8. Stands to reason when you widen the voltage range ... hard to be fully regulated on all battery types.

Great review x2. Any plans on doing one for the A8-Q5? :poke:

Thanks guys, hope to get my hands on the A8/Q5, but not sure if there will be much difference from the other 2 variations already out.

I'm currently trying to get the 3 upcoming new JETBeam products for review ASAP (better me be the guineapig rather then the rest, like the dissapointing JET-u), but if i manage to get an A8/Q5 in the mean time, i'll review that first :)

You're right on the dissapointing Jet u. I sent mine back for a refund, I did not want another one. I'm going to hold back until I hear your review and other reviews on the new Jet Beams. We all heard that same story about how QC was going to improve.

This review is of the Tiablo A9S WC Q5, all A9S come with WC Q5 emitters as standard :)

The A8 is the one that comes in a special Q5 version.
