TIABLO ACE MC-E vs. DEREELIGHT DBS MC-E?

ACE has more throw, but in real world use it's not a huge difference. For example, when you compare a DBS with around 28,000LUX at one meter to a Fenix TK10 with around 6,000LUX at one meter, the DBS has over 4 times the LUX value, and the difference in throw is very noticeable. When you compare the DBS 28,000LUX to the A10's 38-40,000LUX it's not even twice the value. Tests at 5 meters may show the A10 is around twice the lux value. So in real world use you can notice the A10 is slightly brighter, but it doesn't look twice as bright, at least not to me. So you have to decide if the larger size is worth while, and to get the performance out of the A10 you need to use CR123's. 18650's will result in the output dropping (not regulated) with the A10, but the 18650's will be regulated with the DBS when using a digital pill (1SD, 3SD, etc).

My answer is not responsive and completely unhelpful, but just let me add that the ACE will not disappoint in the throw department. It is really astonishing how LEDs have improved in recent times. The ACE throws a big, fat hotspot with plenty of usable spill. Quality control seems first rate. Not much to dislike, really.
