**Do Not Feed The Vegan**,
I've had this light for a couple of months now, and I figured it's about time I post some pictures!
Just like all of TnC's lights, the C-Flex is an incredibly versatile system, giving you a whole lotta options, and letting you pick and choose a light that fits your own uses/requirements. After talking with Eric, who was really helpful and knowledgeable (not to mention patient!!), I went with the following setup:
It's got the C-Flex 1xC battery tube with clicky (mine's a different tube), a SF-Series Series Head Adaptor with SF-Series 27mm Head (Cree) and a 27mm Crenulated Bezel Ring, and it's runnin' a TnC Cree FluPIC Canister. The integrated clicky in the tube is awesome - with tail-standing capabilities to boot!
It makes use of the awesome 3300mAh Li-Ion C-cell by AW. While the C-cell is "fatter" than just about any other cell we use in flashlights, it's nice and "stubby" - bringing it in shorter than a 2x123 light with the same size head!
Here's a comparison shot with a couple other :naughty: TnC lights:
LEFT: SF-Series light with a 27mm Head (Cree) with a Titanium Maxlite Bezel Ring, a SF-Series Power Pack, an 18650 Battery Tube, and a Recessed Clicky Tail Cap, and a TnC Cree FluPIC Canister.
MIDDLE: C-Flex light (as described above)
RIGHT: KeyLux AA with a TnC Cree FluPIC Canister.
So, although the C-flex tube has a little bit bigger of a waistline , it's still shorter than a 2x123/18650 tube, and the C-cell's 3300mAh capacity makes for a super long-running light!
The "bubble" tube that I have is really cool - and feels great in the hand. Besides that, the pattern is really neat looking - some of the coolest machining I've ever seen! (Not that I'd expect anything less from TnC!). There are tiny "ridges" on the bubbles that do provide a little bit of extra grip to it.
Here's a close-up photo of the pattern:
And that's about that!
As many of you know, a really cool part about TnC's lights is the compatibility that TnC builds in with all of their adapters, to fit all sorts of different heads - from SF C-series, E-series, Aleph heads, Mr. Bulk heads, and obviously TnC's own lights. (And who knows what else!)
Eric & Chris - you guys hit the ball outta the park with this one!! :twothumbs I've got a bag of for what comes next.
Thanks,
 john
