I'd definitely be interested in an M6 module if the right driver can be found. Have you considered the XHP emitters? This would give a lot of different driver options as the emitters are available in ~6V and ~12V versions.

There are 2 x 18650 (series) and 3 x 17670 (series) holders from Fivemega and mdocod. Should be easy to find one as they made a lot of these battery holders.

EDIT:

I came across this buck driver which should be good for an XM-L2 or XP-L module:

- 1 mode or 3 mode versions
- 2.4A
- 17mm diameter
- 3 to 16V operating voltage

Sorry, I somehow missed your post...

Well, I do plan to try one specific driver for both M3 and M6 but not sure when... it will be for 3V definitely although XHP50 could possibly fit in M6/M3T head... I just need time as it's quite low on priority list, above that is turning M3 into large TripLED...

Hi Tana, if you have plans to do a Triple in an M3 head I would be interested, what LEDS you might use?

Becuse the M3 is a 3x123a and if Borde, 2x18500s would fit. So a 2 cell setup would be recommended if you can make/get a driver that's is 2 Cell compatible .

Any 3535 LEDs I have in stock... so XPG2, 219B, 219C, XPL HD, XPL HI (HD fits big optics so it would be max output setup)...

Planned cell setup is 2x 18500, of course (aiming for newest AW IMR 18500)...

Hi Tana, are your M3 Drop-in still available? I got a KT-5 and was wandering if it fits? I also got an XtoM adapter as well

The pic's above, those are KT5 tower moduls.

These are the spec's of them:
- Nichia 219B 4500K 90CRI 1.4Amp Tana3 firmware.
- XPL HD 3000K 90CRI 2.8Amp Tana3 firmware.

Kind regards JP

Of course, Gus, they are still available, I'm just slightly slower lately due to complications with my health - but I'm still rolling and modules/mods are ongoing...

Those modules just above are KT5/M6/M3T fitment... but JP had single cell specifically in mind so they are linear, single cell and are programmable... for now I can only make them single mode if intended use is M6 and M3T (buck driver)... for KT5 on single 18650 body on the other hand it can be any of combos that JP listed for his two...

That's Great Tana, so if I am Using the KT5 on a Borde C3 with 2x18500, it would be single mode, am I understand correctly?

As to the X to M adapter, I plan on getting something like a 6PX so JP's Multi mode would work, is that correct?

Re: Tana eMt3 M-series modules for Surefire M3...

Hi Tana,

What is the max output of your drop in for a M3 z46 head, or M3/4/6 with KT4?

eMt3 (fits M3) and eMt6 (fits M3T and M6) for stock config hosts have 500 lumens single mode... in any lego with single cell 18650 it's well over 1000 lumens and multimode (KT4 on P60 body for example)...

Tana, what's the feasibility for one of these dropins for an M4 with an XHP35. Likely to run off of 4x16340

I'm not a big fan of multicell setups, especially 4S... in theory it's doable, I even found a pretty cool driver that could support that setup but neither time nor my health currently allow me to do any testing... so nothing for now, sorry...

Any plans for a KT4 tower with the new XP-L2 (2x18650 for M4 and 3x17670 for M6)? I'm down for two of those :)

No plans for now, as before, finding a proper driver small enough to fit here is the main issue...

As for XPL2 (same as XPG3), it's just too funky for my taste, too many different colors coming from the same source in beam...
