Hi Tarik,

Are you currently building these? If so expect an email from me soon for a 219 with Tana3.
I really like the Tana3 in the mule LE you built me, particularly the turbo timer feature which effectively halves the high setting output after whatever time you set, on mine about 40 seconds. Good stuff.

Hi Tarik,

Do you have 219C (80 CRI) available for singLED? 5000K would be good but 4000K would do.
If not, what XPG2 do you have available (flux and tint bin)?

Cheers

I do have 219C 5000K 80CRI in stock (and beside 5000K 70CRI no other 219C tint... was hoping to find 4000K but no luck for now) however it might not be a good choice for shallow reflector, hotspot might have too much yellow in it (some like it but not my taste)... same goes for most neutral white XPG2 tints - however XPG2 in 6500K cool white but also 3000K warm white proved to have nicely unified colors in beam... so I have both XPG2 S3 in 6500K and R2 in 3000K I think...

I know what you mean about the yellow. The only 219C I've tried are the 4000K.
Usually I don't like any cooler than around 3C or 3D which is around 5000K. I recently tried a Hi CRI XML2 in a 7C1 thinking I might like 3000K but it didn't stay long, just wasn't for me.
What do you think about the 80 CRI 5000K 219C for a singLED, sounds promising?

Not sure about 219C in 5000K, never tried it in this package, never was a need... regular LED choice was enough for everybody's taste... I'd presume it would be similar to CREE's 3C and 3D tints in same package as 5000K 80CRI that's circling around is about the same tint as them... we can certainly try... the other 219C in 5000K that's been classified as 70CRI has even higher flux bin and some rose to it (80CRI is more yellowish - like mentioned, 3C/3D) so if slightly rose tint is preferred that LED might be a pretty good performer...

Out of curiosity what flux bins are the 219C 70CRI and 80CRI?

219C D280 5000K 80CRI (very close to Cree's 3C/3D tints, MTN Electronics stock)

219C D320 5000K 70CRI (more rosy in tint as true Nichia... beast of output, got a limited stock from a friend)

I like the sound of the 219C D320 70CRI, save me a good one for a singLED.
Thanks for all the info.
I'll send an email.

Hi Tana

I'd like to order 1 of your Nichia 219A B10 SingLED with Tana3 if that is possible.

So probably my newest favorite Tana mod is my winelight Tana 3 firmware, 350mah 219c 5000k. 140 lumens on high with a great tint. Long runtimes even with a rcr. Pic is next to my other new Tana mid. Reflector mod e1l 1 amp 219c 5000k 350ish lumens. Note the tint difference. Same LED.

Wonder why so much variance? Is it that much in person?

I had another Tana 5000k singled module in my e2d. It was a cree xpl HI. Pretty much same tint as this 219c.

I know I sent him some 219C 5000K samples-some were 70+CRI, the others 80+ The 80 did resemble 4000K XPL-Hi
emitters somewhat but not as nice as that emitter to my eye. Your reflector mod looks like a nice clean white.
