Thank you very much and am considering and researching all that is spoken here. To you the catapult is the #1 in throw in my case? I'm waiting too for the Catapult v2 review, especially the performance with 01 18650.

What do you think about M2xc4 VS Catapult V2 with 1 bat?

From what I've read, the Catapult V2 works best with 2x 18650. Using 1x 18650 will not give optimal performance with Catapult V2.

Thrunite Catapult V2
Jetbeam M1X

These are good suggestions imho. I have a V1 catapult, as well as an M1X, so let me say a couple of words about the difference between these two lights.

There is no question in my mind that the Catapult is much brighter, and throws further than the M1X. If you only care about throw, the Catapult just owns.

The Catapult is a thicker, heavier light than the M1X. If you happen tap someone with it, they will find out about it. That said, I actually like the form-factor of the M1X better. It's slimmer and somewhat lighter. Obviously this is a personal preference thing.

The Catapult has very limited useable spill - to the extent that I find it uncomfortable to walk around in the dark with it. It's awesome if I need to look out in the distance. If I then need to walk over there in near complete darkness (I'm in an unlit rural area) I don't actually enjoy using it that much. If I am looking any distance away, it sheds NO light at my feet and so it's hard to see where I'm walking. (And it is so bright I have next to no dark adaptation.) I find the M1X to be a much better compromise between throw and spill. However, this is largely because of my environment. If I were walking in relatively lit urban areas, the Catapult would win, no doubt about it in my mind.

If I needed to spot something in the distance from my boat at night, the catapult would be my choice. If I needed to walk through the woods around my property, I'd choose the M1X.

I can't say which of the great suggestions you've been given is the best choice for you. But do take some time to consider the tradeoffs (throw / spill / weight / runtime / etc.) Best of luck!

If you want an ultralight, float able, environmentally friendly, and bright flashlight i would take the 5.11 pc3.300 flashlight. It charges in 90 seconds and is maintainance free. It runs for two hours and can sit on the charger in the meantime when you are cruising around. It will last over a hundred years and has a cool simple UI with a switch near the head and one at the tail cap, so there's flexibility. This is a rare option and i am going to get one once i get a different suv. Its going to be by my seat at all times topped of and ready to fire. Hope this helps and they have a bigger one the pc3.400 and is a little brighter. 200lumens and car and home charger included @ botach tactical.com for $139 shipped. Last light you will ever need and again there is no need to ever open it up to replace cells. Its so light it floats and is ultra durable. Seems that this is a favorite among the great servicemen we have in our country.

Also the performance exceeds all others as the downtime on this light is just 10minutes in a 24hr period. Also no more batteries and the light is not temperature sensitive and is environmentally friendly. It will definitely pay for itself in a year with no extra added costs(batteries, bulbs and other replacements). 100% worry free...
