Fireworm Unprotected = 2.97A / 2.87A / 2.87A

Battery No1 = Fireworm 3000 18650 Protected circuit .
Label claims 3000mA capacity , but having tested the unprotected version I would say 2600mA capacity may be a more reasonable expectation . I was very impressed with the unprotected version , and look forward to the run time test .

Battery No2 = Trustfire Red & Black Protected 2400mA capacity , I hear a lot of good things about them , so look forward to seeing how they go .

Battery No3 = Spiderfire Protected 2400mA capacity , Ive tested these some time ago , and they were not so flash , and so far I remain un-impressed .

Next I will do the run time tests : :popcorn:

Trustfire 18650 [ Known as Red & Black ] 2400mA Protected :

This battery did very well , and the reputation it seem to be earning looks to be well deserved . If you buy this battery , then I dare say you have made a good choice , especially considering the price point your buying in at . And consider the 2400mAh claim , and the performance and run time , and we have a very honest battery .

Fireworm 18650 3000mA Protected

3000mA NOT ! , may come close to 2600mA [ MAY ! ] , considering the price point of these batteries , and that you can buy two of the tested Trustfires for the price of one Fireworm , they really dont make much economic sense .
Over priced , over stated capacity , what can I say ? There as good as the Trustfires at twice the price .

Spiderfire 18650 2400mA Protected

I dont know why this battery makes me think of the Ultrafire BRC3000 [ POS ] , but the performance is very similar , less the run time . Looks like Spiderfire is going to be one to stay away from , there not cheap , and there certainly not good . :oops: Both other batteries were able to heat up my flashlight to the point it was getting hot , this Spiderfire barely made the light luke warm , it just could not deliver current , due to the high internal resistance I was expecting a extended run time , but no such thing . Also the battery just refused to charge up to 4.2v , I had a heck of a time just getting it to hold 4.19v , and the self discharge rated seemed to be a little high .
:fail:

Hmm comparing the WOW to the Trustfire for the 90 mins runtime test (after I balanced the X axis :) ) the WOW isn't really that much better so for price reasons the Trustfire is a good bet although YMMV.

Yep , more to chose from , that cant be bad .
Often the choice comes down to the best bang for your dollar , and I have to agree , the Trustfires offer great value .

The nity gritty , the WOW may have performed a little better , finished stronger , but its close , and Im very happy with both batteries , and in the end it comes down to personal choice .
When close enough is enough , then the final choice may come down to price .
Trustfires = $9.68USD shipped for a Pair
WOW18650 = $11.62USD Shipped for a Pair

Just when I thought the flames on the trustfire was getting ironic enough, "Fireworm" has a picture of the battery exploding on the wrapper. :duh2: What next? person holding a fragged flashlight in the ICU after it went up in his hand?

Nice review either way.
