Here is a design that i have been working on.

Twin R2 with claimed output of 250 each. The housing and the battery monitor circuit is all custom. 7 levels of indication!

Further developments are ongoing, new rear plate with DC plug removing trailing cables. IP67 rated switches, and possibly some higher power LED's, urm I'm thincking P7 at 900 Lumen.

Looks very professional, I like the re-claimed handlebar mount. How much do the GITD tailbuttons light up at night? They seem like an excellent idea, i really like the implementation.

(The spec's your quoting are theoretical, stick around and you'll learn to more accurately guage the output of your lights.)
Have you popped into the cycling sub-form? Lots of creations there to learn from or improve upon, and I'm sure if you went into details on your custom battery monitor (I presume the 3led's on the back indicate charge level?) there'd be eager eyes to read it.

The battery monitor uses a pic chip that i programed. It has 7 levels with 5 passive levels then bellow 7v the lights slow flash and below 6.5v it rapid blinks.
