1. Is there some kind of chart with the capacity and voltage of all possible batteries? I am interested in: AAAA, AAA, AA, AA lithium, AA NiCad, AA NiMh, CR123, CR2, BR435, AG-3, AG-5, C, D, 9V block, N, CR2032, CR2016 and maybe some more I am forgetting right now.

2. is the relationship between voltage and capacity something like: 1AA has x capacity at 1.5V, then 2 AA in series have x capacity at 3V, or do they have 2x capacity?

thanx

Bernhard,

at least a good portion of your cell voltage x amperage question has been answered in various posts on the forum - maybe if we get a complete list compiled this time this should be made a sticky as such questions keep popping up.

On the issue of two cells - if you put them in series you´ll get 2 x voltage at the same capacity - putting them in parralel will give you the same voltage but double capacity.

Too lazy and time contrained to start the list

Someone made one up in JPG form, I thought it was going to be in the FAQ, but don't remember for sure.

Sticky faq on batteries would be great. If data on load vs energy is available that would be a nice thing to include.

yeah, a sticky would help technical dumbasses like me a lot when those questions are finally important.
thanx so far!
