It's hard to keep up with all the new types of Internet connection. Dose any one have a web site that has info on types of Internet connection?

Here is a good place to start .....
DSL Reports

Even though it's name is DSL Reports, it has information on the other high speed options available. Just poke around in there and you'll find it, if not .... it's good starting place.
