BTW - Solscud007 - the walls look that way because they are train carriages. Cheap and well built, I say.

OK I give up, I've been looking at the pics inside the house and I can't work out how it's built with the carriages! Please explain!! It's driving me mad!!!

Ok. Take two obsolete wooden train carriages. Transport them to your building site. Place them side by side with appx twelve feet in between.

Then build a house around them. You keep one side of each as an outside wall. The rest is inside.

To be honest, they are quite common place. A good use of old narrowguage rolling stock.

Cheap too, ours only cost a couple of quid when they were bought - 1910-20 I think.
