Ultrastinger Mod??

A LE friend of mine wants to modify his ultrastinger into either something more powerful or a similarly powerful LED conversion.

I know there are many other cheaper and/or probably easier mods out there, but he has his heart set on modding this one.

Any suggestions out there that wouldnt be too difficult or too flimsy/finicky for Law enforcement use?
