I call this a universal tail switch as for us modders, we are familiar with the battery tube and threads necessary to accept this tail switch. Below, it is shown on a heavily modified Arc LS 1xAA power pack that now houses a 123 cell and accepts both the LS head and proto tail switch. Time permitting, I plan to make a single and two cell tube for the Exe and KL1 bezels.

Instead of starting from scratch on the tail switch housing, I used a SF E1 bezel that was also heavily modified. This switch works great with good ergonomics and feel!

If you are going to have these made (like the e2/large-size adapter), they'll be great for mods!

Now that proposal has "CLASS", looks good and should be sturdy. If that could be made "affordable"...I'd sure like to see that made available as an accessory!!

Were you formerly known as Prince? (joking) I do want to try to get both the kroll module, K4C (kroll for "Classic") as well as a version of the tail cap and rubber boot sourced if possible and made available, likely through Dat2zip's CPF store. Due to lack of funds and other parts that are coming out, it may take some doing to step up to the plate for this but I am pursuing it. I would like to have a couple variations in the tail cap itself; possibly one with embedded carbide chips and a castleated (sp) and sharpened edges that would be the KT model for guaranteed garment and epidermal shredding.

Seriously, or at least an attempt, the hurdle will be the rubber boot. I doubt SF would be inclined to offer up their way cool boot as a seperate offering so it is likely an injection mold would have to be made and financed. This is a bit steep for a micro entrepreneur such as myself.

There are cheaper ways to make rubber items such as the rubber boot you show. One way we make them for prototyping at my office is to machine an acrylic mold of the part with locating pins for each half. I can't remember if we use a urethane with rubber properties, or a black silicone. You pour your material into one half of the mold and then sandwich the mold halfs together and clamp down. Put the mold into a pressure pot to shrink any bubbles and wait until it cures. I will pursue the the materials further with my molder if you would like, and I could probably machine you an acrylic mold for some kind of trade.
 
I forgot to mention that this method isn't the best way for "mass" production, but it can definitely produce a lot of parts in an economical manner.
 
Just thinking, but would it be possible to fabricate the boot out of a thin piece of rubber,(like inner-tube) with a small circle of thicker material (like a shoe-sole

Maybe not suited for a big production run, but pretty easy for small quantities, and cost effective...

he didnt cut any grooves. that is an E1 bezel that he used. looks like he cut the front end of it down a bit too. smooooth
