I have never seen them before and they are not to see in the regular gallery!

I know some Beast pics with this young lady at the beach, but I have never seen the version for duty use.

The M2D was meant to be the regulated version of the M2, but i think that project got shelved some time ago. It also made an appearance on the SF comparison chart.

From what i've read about the Beast, this is a light that is constantly changing in both spec and design. The one pictured with the lady at the beach (McGizmo's better, more photogenic half? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif ) is the most recent version to surface that i'm aware of. However, i dont doubt for a second that PK has something way cooler buried in the 'junkpile' on his desk.
 
Never heard of an M2D until I read this thread or had i seen the beast in HAIII or the new L1 and L2. So yeah these are new to me. You can also view weapons lights now on the website I never could do that until now. They must be in the process of upgrading the site.

What is a 3BL1 and 6BL1? theres also a loisting for 3BL2/6BL2 for $106 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif
 
Some of those are really old photos of proto-types that were shelved.
The Beast has evolved, the M6 HID was just a proto-type.
The L1 & L2 photo shows old designs.
The M2D & C2D were shelved.

Good find of some good photos but nothing exciting (new)

The M2D/C2D appeared in all its glory on the 2002 SF catalog, which is also on the website, under publications, I think.

Look what I found.... a cache of 6BLs near me at $135 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ohgeez.gif
 
Try "Surefire's Smallest Turbohead" ala KL1 4th generation for your E2.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If that fails to satisfy, there is always the KT1 with E2C adapter.....that would be quite a freakish light indeed /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I'd love an E2 Digital especially if they could do it with no change in size (given that the E2e is perfect as-is). The M2D/C2D's quoted length in the catalog is substantially longer than the C2 I carry.

Then again I solved the problem of the C2 with a lamp upgrade and lithium ion cells (flat discharge curve)..
