hmm, i feel like some of these stories should be in the cheers or jeers. actually maybe there should be an experience forum that is neither cheers or jeers so that the consumer can decide whether right or wrong.
anyway..
you could always "return" the light and buy a new one to be sent a replacement.
from an engineering standpoint, if one part is faulty and is replace it would be fixed. if you replace the whole light you have the same chance of something going wrong in the whole light.
im a bit disappointed with the quality control of some of these companies. i feel like they will ship by volume and let the comsumer "test" it out and have a warranty to protect the reputation. it's a lot simpler and cheaper than test each and every flashlight.
i wish dealers would but that would be the same painful process. it's much easier to just ship everything and deal with the faulty ones on a case by case basis.
