Got my 2x C Prince light from fivemega and initial reaction is "fantastic"! The workmanship, fit and finish, the reflector and switch are first class. The WA1111 bulb is held in place with a hex screw so it will not fall out. The small reflector looks like its MOP and designed for this bulb, while the large reflector is smooth.....Right now I am in the process of charging my cells so I can try it out tonight.

....Just done some beam shots of the two lights that I have with me, a Rattlesnake with LF EO-9L, the Prince with WA1111 / standard reflector and the Prince with large reflector......Taken from a window on the seventh floor of an appartment building looking at an airconditioning/exhaust units on the roof of a building across the road. Not sure of the distance, 2x very wide footpaths plus six lanes of trafic. First shot is a control, than the EO-9L, the Prince with regular reflector and than with the large reflector.
Beam shot exposures; 100 ASA, 1/2 second, f 2.8

Control

Rattlesnake with 2x 18650 EO-9L

Prince with 2x C WA1111 standard reflector

Prince with 2x C WA1111 large reflector

Re: Prince and Rattlesnake size comparison

That is a nice looking light, I like the grip treatment

So which is which? They have both highlighted those service ducts, at first glance I thought it was a different picture

Actually looking at the units during the day, the round unit must be some kind of exhaust fan on the left and not sure what the bigger unit on the right is, perhaps another vent/exhaust.........anyway, anything that controls air quality in a building I call "air conditioning".......so there. :)

Had a chance to use the light last night and found that even though it uses the WA1111 bulb which is known to produce a bat/butterfly beam pattern in most lights including my 2x C Maglite....and considering that the bezel/reflector is about the same size as the D36 lamp....imho the Prince is slightly brighter than my Maglite and produces a much smoother beam that looks more like the P91 beam, it is oval in shape, not quite as clean as the P91 but excellent in comparison to other WA1111 based lights I have seen. I am guessing that if it has less resistance than my 2x C Maglite, it most likely produces about 900 lumens on freshly charged cells.....not bad for this sized light.....When you install the bigger reflector you can actually see the straight beam cutting through the air like a laser.

I will try to do some beam comparison shots on a wall somewhere, our apartment is too small for these shots......
