Upgrading LuxIII Light with a Q5. DD question

I'm upgrading my Direct Drive 3C maglite powering a UWOK LuxIII.

I'm planning to drop a Cree Q5 in there.
Shouldn't be a problem, no?

A Seoul will be a more direct replacement for a Luxeon III. It has a wider emitting pattern. But it will shift blue if it gets too hot.

A Cree will work but I've heard it gives a ring and the hotspot won't be as strong(Most of the light would go into the spill).
