I bought a couple of these 1000mah 14500 gold vapcell. They are supposed to be high drain (3A). I have been using them on several lights without issue. However, I recently tried them on a couple of old lights and some weird things happened.
1. Nitecore D11.2. light comes on high and no matter how I press the button, light won't do anything. Just keeps staying on high until I just take the battery out.
2. Jetbeam Jet-I Pro 3.0. the slightest touch on the tail switch makes the light change mode or flipping through modes.
On both of the lights above, I tried Alkaline, NiMh, Trustfire 14500 all without issue and operate to specs.
I measured the vapcell with the trustfire and they are practically the same height. The vapcell runs fine in newer lights and even the older r2 Jetbeam rrt0 no problem.
So what's so special about these vapcells, vs good old trustfire, that make my Nitecore and Jetbeam crazy?
