I remember you reading your posts talking about how you killed a bunch of LED's in testing. Wrapped in foil, how hot can these get before dying?

With mine on high, the bezel will sit right at 130 degrees. How much hotter could it get before failing?

I had some LEDs fail in the past from poor techniques and bad heat sinking. With Copper PCB, solder fill, and tight aluminum wrap I haven't yet ruined any more LEDs. It's your SAFETY operating a HOT light that should be the primary concern. High extra powered drop ins sold in this thread shoudl be limit to short bursts of 1-2 minutes anyway. If you need to run the light longer run it on Medium or Low. From my experience it's very very very very very hard to kill a good heat sinking LED. Imagine how much heat the LED has to sustain in order to solder flow it onto the PCB. The heat that the light generate when in use will never approach melting temperature of solder. So again, It's the safety and responsibility of the user that should be of most priority/concern.

Order a light that runs about 1.5A if you do plan to run the light for extra long runs. 1.5A is plenty bright for all most all task. If you want to squeeze every bit of lumen possible then 6A is the way to go. In that extreme case I strongly suggest limit each bursts to 1 minute only.

If anyone is having problems with their drop in no matter how long ago they bought it from me please feel free to contact me for a repair. I will either repair it for free or for just the price of parts. This depends on what happened to the drop in.

I don't understand something about the McClicky you offer. I was hoping to use these switches in a few Surefire hosts. But it says prepped for Solar Force. Will this cause a problem if used in a Surefire 6P or 9P?? Or will they not work in a Surefire at all ?? Thanks.

I was just trying to isolate then connections on the switch to eliminate a short problem. This fix applies to all host. However, at the moment I have no switch to sell.
