As the title says really, I had to send my Ra Clicky back and I am having a hard time waiting for a replacement. I have money sitting in my paypal account, and I want to spend! Should I wait for the Clicky? or should I get these two?
So what would you sooner have? And why?

.. Lf3 and the Deree aren't going anywhere any time soon. I know that eventually you will buy what you want and sooner or later the Clicky will arrive back in your hand.

I say hold off on buying anything, let your money sit for a few more weeks.
Get the Ra Clicky in its proper working order, and use it for a bit. Become acquainted. If you're not into it as much, then go ahead and order the other lights.

If it's really OR then I have to agree; "wait for the Clicky".

I'm waiting for the Clicky (I'm waiting for the really good polish), but I already have an LF3. I must say it's helping me forget about the Clicky until it's really ready.

ahhh the eternal question:
quality vs. quantity?
actually the LF3XT is a great light (I have one), but I don't think it is at the same level as the Ra (I have a twisty). I don't have experience with the Deere, but from the reviews don't think it is at the quality level of the Ra series.

Go with the RaClicky, you won't regret it one bit

Hmm, I dont know. At this point I dont think it is quantity vs. quality . It's more quality at good price points VS. expensive and questionable value . If you look at all the issues with the RA clicky and no public response from Ra that any of the problems are/will be fixed anytime soon if at all , and the price of the light then look at the LFX3t and how good the build quality is on that (to me it looks comparable to if not better than most HA aluminum lights on the market right now) and the price of that light I dont think it is such a straight forward open and shut decision to go with the Ra . I am drooling over all these lights myself and though I keep going back to the Ra clikcy thread to see if something impressive is happening to solve the multiple issues (havnt seen anything yet) when looking at the most bang for your buck and still getting quality and reliability, maybe the 2 light route is the best choice?
I feel your pain in this decision making myself though and find stepping away from it all for a day or two can help also

Why would you spend 3 times the price of a LF3XT on a light that can't even offer fit & finish equal to a $60 import.

I would guess there are more LF3XTs out there than RA Clickys and only 1 or 2 reported failures. The LF3XT IS NOT what the Clicky was supposed to be , but it is what the Clicky couldn't be.

That's why I'm waiting for the Clicky, and am not buying it today. In time it will be what it should be... if not I won't buy it.

Based on the current market prices though, the LF3 is a great light at a great price. I don't think it's necessarily better than a NovaTac though, which you can get some pretty sweet deals on. If the LF3 meets ones requirements, they should not hesitate, its is a high quality light.

the LF3 took my pocket away from a 120P. in my eyes it's UI is far better than the 120P and fit/finish is just as good. the LF3 may be better than the NovaTac but, unfortunately the LF3 is no Ra Clicky!!!

Thanks for your input guys, still not made up my mind :)

Would be nice to hear at least something from Ra. I understand that they may be waiting for lights to be returned but something posted on here would be good, so far nothing at all, not a word.
I think I will leave it a week, and then it will be make my mind up time.
My wife and I are expecting a child on the 2nd June so I need to sort my lights out now, she's already pointing out buggys and stuff so I will be skint shortly!
Thanks again for your help.
Kam.

Just get the Ra Twisty first, then wait for the Ra Clicky after the problems have been ironed out.:twothumbs

Forgot... I did that as well. Love my 85Tr, and it convinced me the Clicky will be the Cn version, unless something better is available at the time of purchase.

Interesting, I'm still liking the 120P interface better (I have a couple programmed differently), because I like having access to the individual levels rather than always cycling. I have one setup where 2C basically cycles as well, so I can have either. On my EDC version I also have the auto-off on. I'm so happy the Clicky has lock-out, a really great addition that does not get discussed much. It's really needed when you have just such a light click required on a electronic switch to activate the light.
