Changing modes is easily done by powering on and off until you get to the mode you want. A button switch or pressure pad works great! If left off for more than 2 seconds the circuit resets and starts at 100%. Digital circuit sequence: 100% (260 lumens) and Strobe

also does this one really put out 260 lumens cause i saw another one that was 170 lumens =) any help would be great.

I just ordered the BOG for my C3. I hope its everything its cracked up to be. I would have ordered the Malkoff but I thought it was for the C2 only. Plus they are backordered.

All I can say is, I hope Wolf-Eyes ironed out the problems that their earlier modules had in working with non-W.E. lights....

:wtf: your link is over 18 months and about 4 emitters old.

I think a more relevant link is this one, particularly have a look at post 31, where Nick makes mention that the WE drop in ia not ideal for the M2 bezel, however it still works adequately. There is also plenty of information of CPFers using WE and almost every other type of drop ins in SF's in the link. http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=173764&page=2

I running three of my lights with WE Q5 module. Solid build quality, no problems (yet) whatsoever...

Yes, the link I provided is a bit old. But W.E. modules still use the larger, outer spring inorder to properly fit inside SF lights. Considering the cost of a high-output LED W.E. lamp, spending $60 just to learn if the lamp will or won't work; that's a bit steep.

With regards to the link you provided, post #33 raises another issue of reliability in non-W.E. lights. Don't misunderstand, I like the W.E. Cree Q5 D26 3.7 - 13volt lamp. If it works reliably in a SF 9P, it would be a sweet combination. I plan on getting the lamp.... I also plan on getting a W.E. Sniper in case the lamp doesn't work in my SF lights. But only because I have a bit of extra Christmas money that needs spending.

My apologies, i got the impression by your initial post that you were attempting to run them down with the link. Lucky i didn't go with the initial reply i had typed.

Unfortunately post 31 and 33 don't really eloborate too much on the drop in/light problems and the overall effect, which makes it a little difficult.

No problem, I understand. Not the first time one of my posts would have been misinterpreted..... But probably the first time that an angry response wasn't posted. :grin2:

I love the CPF community. :twothumbs

(P.S. ~ If I believe something is actual junk, I'll just blatantly say so).

I literally just noticed something.... bondr006 has a few Surefire lights that have been modded with W.E. drop-ins.... Including an M2.

He'd be a perfect person to ask. :)

I may be putting up a 6V 2-Mode up for sale at the CPFMaketPlace. Not often used, however it has proven itself to be absolutely reliable across a number of Lego configurations with excellent build quality. Cosmetically superior finish when compared to the current crop of Dereelight and BOG assembles. It is the first recommendation I give when asked about third-party P60 modules. A relatively conservative, working choice with good spill and overall brightness. I personally favor throwing modules such as the Dereelight as I counter the lack of spill at shorter distances with a beam diffuser. Then again, I may retain the 6V 2-Mode as the tactical strobe can be used to improve runtimes while retaining brightness and spill. Good stuff, highly recommended  .
