I should do a search, but what are the specs?

+ I think this is appropriate for this thread....

Isn't the R2 what most "in the know" suggested to wait for to replace 1st gen cree lights, as there will be an obvious increase in brightness as opposed to having to compare lights side by side for incremental brightness?

Apparently there's a Fenix T1 R2 in Japan.
That'll probably annoy some people.
These lights are only getting better and better.

I agree with the optimistic future, but I'm not annoyed with the R2 T1 in Japan, as I'm waiting for AT LEAST a R4 before my next purchase anyhow. If I pull it off, it will be close to 2 years since I bought any lights for myself (except an incan).

Two years, daveman?! I was getting all itchy and nervous because I went only one year before placing an order for new lights.

At least the new bins are only an incremental increase and I won't be in a rush to upgrade my new P3D.

Most of my lights are plenty bright, cannot afford to replace em every 6 months or a year.

Yes, Jayflash, my current edc is a Peak Mediterranean (Lux I if you can believe it) I bought some 2 1/2 years ago. Still going strong! I've been contemplating awful hard about that Fenix P2D with a R4 in the reflector though.

I have a new reason (excuse) to buy a R bin L2D with T1 head (if not Fenix...) A friend of mine at work loves my L2D RB100 on my bicycle helmet since I use the 2AA configuration during the dark winter months. Took two o-rings and mounted my old L1D CE on his helmet and he only uses it in STROBE mode. He refuses to give it back! He always asks "How much?" My L1D CE is long gone and living in strobe mode for his bike riding happiness.

Soooo, I figure I will sell it to him for $30 and be done with it. Yep, time for a new light! Hopefully Fenix will use the larger reflector T1 head with the 2AA body and an R bin emitter. I can wait.... waiting... were is 4 sevens in my time of need?

I have a Cree R2 bin emitter, just waiting for a Dereelight 1.2A module to drop it into. If it's rated for 275 lumnes at 1A, I wonder what it will do at 1.2A. 285? 290? I know it starts getting less efficient the higher you go.
