Weird Rovyvon A25 lens deformity or is it normal?

the lens on my A25 has a strange indentation and bulge. I have contacted their CS team and they are telling me it is normal and they are all like this. Anyone have any ideas?

It looks like the alignment tab for the optic, which would be completely normal.
