After a long hard week at work, headed out to the local gun show and picked up some cool items while there. You just never know what you will find.

Happy Hunting everyone!

You found a Winelight at a gun show

Now I'm really going to the one coming up in a week!

I never heard of Winelight until this thread was that a special run by surefire or do they still produce them because I would sure like to get one. The E1B would be cool.

I knew they were rare, and made for a nice collection, but didn't know much except something about wine. They haven't been made in a long time, and they aren't exactly floating around to buy when you please.

Luckily, back in '07, Size15 made this post:

The WineLights are examples of SureFire indulging themselves (the L6 Porcupine would be another example)

The WineLight concept is to allow the appreciation of wine through examining it under high quality light - sometimes unavailable in restaurants. One of SureFire's management, and a wine connoisseur found that using a hard-anodised E2e was a bit brutal in the context of a fine restaurant or other setting and influenced SureFire into producing and releasing a version in a more subtle and 'classy' burgundy to compliment the red wines being appreciated.

I don't know how many of each WineLight were made, nor exactly when the product run was. Sorry.

Interesting thanks I wonder how many actually got sold to wine "connoisseurs".

Its about as opposite as I can think surefire selling lights to.

Nice purchases. That Winelight is really cool.

You got some nice items, hopefully saved some money and had a fun time too. E1E - best small incandescent, L1 - one of the best outdoors light, and the Pila charger - one of the best chargers.

The winelights were on clearance on a website for a few months last year. You got the E1 and the E2 for around $100. It came with a big display and the lights were attached to the display with wire. You needed to cut the wire to get the light off the display.
