what batteries to use with kroma milspec

Hi, can someone give me some expert advice to a noob plz. i have just bought a k2 milspec and was wondering what rechargable cells would be best for this light as i dont want to be spending out money on batteries on a regular basis.also i dont want to buy the wrong ones ond burn out my new light, any help would be very appreciated, many thanks skippster76.

Don't be tempted to save money with cheap Chinese made cells - they are more likely to "vent" ie outgas or explode, releasing toxic chemicals.

Have a look at www.lighthound.com for fairly cheap primary CR123 cells. Good brands are surefire, duracell, energizer, rayovac and streamlight - in general, the USA made cells are vastly superior in capacity and safety to the Chinese ones.

edit: I just realised you meant rechargeables. Lithium ion rechargeables (the 3.6V sort) do have the same risk of venting/outgassing/exploding that primary cells do. I'm not sure what fits in the Kroma, but member AW on the forums here is the man to go to for the safest rechargeables around.

If you haven't read up about the dangers of using lithium-based cells, I would highly advise you to. It is in your best interests.
