What can I do with my Tigerlight?

I have one of the original 3D sized rechargable Tigerlights with the incandescent bulb, tank-like build, and beautiful hard anodized black finish with gold trim. It's the pepper spray version. I've always liked this light for its looks, the rock solid feel it has in your hand, and, back in the day, it's brightness.

So now it's totally out of date and I'm wondering if anyone has modded their old Tigerlight, and what they did to it. I'd like to convert it to LED and update the battery platform from NiCad to lithium.

Any thoughts?

A Malkoff drop in for the Streamlight SL20X may work. The Streamlight incan lamp assembly fits the Tigerlight, and vice-versa. The Tigerlight uses a 7.2 volt battery pack, but that shouldn't be an issue with the Malkoff dropin.
