what do i power this maglite drop in with?

i saw this http://www.kaidomain.com/ProductDetails.aspx?ProductId=1763 and have a 2D mag that id like to use it in. what do i use to power it 6 AA'a or just 2 D cell alkalines? what is my expected output?
