What Happened at Thomas Distributing?

I've ordered batteries for many years from Thomas Distributing, Paris, IL. They were always right on the mark.

Today their local phone is disconnected, the 800 number leads to a scam outfit.

Has anyone heard what has happened to this 'first resource?'

Too bad, I also used them regularly. The domain must now be in other hands, perhaps 3dcartstores.
