what is the brightest 2xAA flashlight from kaidomain/dealextreme? (25$ max)

from my experience these lights are bright:
SKU 4238, 2816 and 1993(less bright but good regulation with 2AA) and if your uncle never had any experience with cree then any single AA Cree light will enough to amazed him such as SKU 2315. I tend to choose single mode light for you uncle unless if he is also a flashaholic.

This is the 'famous' Ultrafire C3 (Cree) with extension tube. It can be a 1AA or a 2AA light, depending how you configure it. It is well respected on this forum:

Thanks, I had forgotten about that one. Would like one in HA with at least a Q2 or better. I suppose those still come with P4's.

I don't think you would find a HA light at under $25(natural anodizing doesn't show scratches as easily).
Also, put a fitting washer in what ever light you buy to make the light reverse polarity protected(just in case).
Maybe the Natural WF-606 would be good? The Ultrafire C3 might be better since it has longer runtime on 2 AA batteries.

Brightest rugged light for a present has to be the WF-606A imo.
It is much brighter than the single mode Ultrafire C3. (See my review)
BTW - Most non-flashaholics do not like the multi-mode lights. =P

it seems that quality lately is going down the drain.
better wait until there are lots of reports coming in that the quality is ok again.
The multimode C3 has been unavailabe for 3 weeks now so this probably is related to the quality issues on the singlemode C3(assuming they come from the same factory)
I recall there is a AA HAIII light that is around $25. I think it may be the C3, but the sku # escapes me at the moment.

WF-606B is dimmer than WF-606A or C5.

WF-606A is a bit brighter than C5 I believe.
C5 is a twisty though so I don't like it as much.
