The A123 is a well known cell is it not?

I think it can be used in incandescent lights using high power bulbs that draw lots of amps.

A123 cells are commonly used in Dewalt cordless power tool battery packs.

The Dewalt DC9108 has 12 18650 sized 1100mAh A123 cells in it in a 6S2P configuration.

The Dewalt DC9280 has 8 26650 sized 2300mAh cells in it in a 8S configuration.

It'd be well suited for light "flash-bang" grenades, powering three SST90 LED's at fulll power for a few moments.

If you do a CPF Google search for "A123", you get a bunch of threads with info on these. Members have been using these for a number of years in lights, especially hotwires, with great success.
