My primary is E1e + KL1 for general use. If I need more then I would pack for the trip.

oooh another one who loves that combo. I thought you had many bigger SF lights too?

I use that because it is my EDC, but at home, I use the Mag+TWOL because it has something like 16 hours of reasonable output on D cells, and is thus very cheap to feed. Compare to 2 hours on the KL1..

i love posts like these!!

Hi Kevin,

I do have many bigger SF lights too but to me they are very dedicated lights. I use the E1e + KL1 for burning up my used batteries. When I go out I usually carry two or three used batteries so I could change them out when need be. I just love the E1e + KL1 + Z57 clickie.

My primary would have to be Arc LS Rev1, modified with reflector, HD and AA/AAA/123 "fatty" pack. It's a great package! it's almost always with me. I have it backed up with my Watchlight (watchband mounted flashlight). Between these two, I rarely need anything else.

I suppose my second would be my VIP with BH. It's just a touch too big for me to comfortably EDC, but it's multiple brightness levels and throw in high are incredible, especially for a 1x123 light.

Honorable mention goes to the PT surge - it puts out plenty-o-photons for only a few bucks. Fill it with bulk 8xAAs and it's not only bright, but cheap to feed.

I am gradually acquiring an interesting set of lights, but honesty compels me to admit that my primary flashlight is still my reliable old Arc AAA LE. I always carry the AAA and an Arc LSH. I keep a Photon Freedom on my keychain for emergencies. When I'm out and about I often have a Surefire G2 in my vest pocket. Despite the variety, my trusty Arc AAA is almost always the first one I reach for. It provides plenty of light for 95% of my real-world needs, it's convenient to get at (clipped to a belt loop on my pants), and it gets the most out of what are already cheap batteries.

Arc AAA on keychain
Brinkmann Legend with Opalec on belt. Since old Mini Mag with Opalec flew out of the belt pouch the rubber on the Legend retains better in the pouch.

General use: several rechargeables in LED (Gander Mountain, SureFire) and regular (CT-Zero and Streamlight) plus lots of hacked up Brinkmann LED lights strategically placed (left wherever) in the house/car/shop.

My primary is my Direct-Drive PR-T E2e w/ McE2S two-stage Aleph tailcap, running Pila 168s.

Everything I can ask for as an EDC. at stage one, it runs all night (heck, maybe all week, but I swap batts everyday), and at stage two, it's an E2e killer with a 2.5 hour runtime. And now it stands up on its own!

I'm happy as a pig in mud (at least until I have my Lionheart)!!

Arc AAA always on my keychain

work - TigerLight, Streamlight Stinger, ElectrLumens Tri Star Phazer, Pelican M6 LED, Surefire6P w/ KL3 LED(midnight shift cops can't have too many lights!)

ON PERSON - Arc LS with twisty, modded by LitFuse to run a LuxIII @ 777mA and a reflector. (a truly remarkable light)

AT HOME - I have a pair of Surefire L4s each powered by a Pila 168s guilt eliminator from J.S.Burly.

I have other lights that I use and love, but these are my primaries.
