<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">I have seen the KL1 apart and there is a very nice formed gasket that seats between the lens and the optic/ head tube. It is definately sealed from the environment and can probably even handle a bit of pressure. I'll let someone else do a pool test or dive test :-)

I also have #16 with a couple more on the way that should be CE identified.

#785 from LPS.
CE on the bezel and the instruction sheet.

Still waiting on the one I ordered from Sableco.

Mine is #250. Very nice. I'm glad I have an E2, rather than an E2e. The Kl1 mounted on my E2 just *barely* fits into the V82 holster; there is very little Velcro holding the flap down.

Also, the finned part of my Kl1 is darker than the rest, but hardly could be called 'charcoal'; it's a darker gray/green. Pity the forward ring is even lighter than the body of my E2; it looks like an early Arc-LS.

This light has EDC written all over it...

who's got No.1?

Shelby, thanks to your cool pix and photoshop, I could now enjoy cool wallpapers on my pc.

#215 here w/CE from Brightguy. Has somewhat of a blue tint to the beam and the two-tone body.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Gandalf,

Cut, (with seam ripper, sharp scissors or single edged razor) one or both side seams constricting the bottom of the V82. Even the E2e will fit very nicely, with endbutton flush with, or very slightly protruding from bottom. This in no way compromises the light.

This "mod" works beautifully and others have posted the idea, but one might have hoped that Surefire had designed a bit more flexibility into this holster. (OTOH perhaps they did, and our enlarging procedure was anticipated)

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">The E2 and E2e are the SAME length exactly. The only difference could be that if your E2 is the older style without LOTC. If both lights are equipped with LOTC they are again the SAME length. So, if anybody wants to shorten their light by 1/4" just swap out the LOTC for a non-LOTC, and you're good to go.

Just wanted to point that out...

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Brightnorm -

I've done this (on TX's suggestion) and certainly the light fits better. But this mod REQUIRES the light to have a clip IMO. I don't trust the light not to partially fall out the bottom otherwise. I can push the light through now, after removing only one of the traigular seams. It is a tight fit to push through, and it only goes about 1" through the hole - but then it gets stuck, and is VERY difficult to remove. A word of caution.

#233, nice.

E__WOK-
666. Really.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">I have a numbered watch #666, want to buy it?

No, really, I got used to it.
