What LED Flashlight have the best "no flicker" if dropped or after awhile of use?

One of the other things I'm looking for in a LED flashlight.

Any quality LED light should not flicker if dropped.

The better question might be: what lights flicker after a drop or use?

Most quality lights imho do not have these issues.

The ones with this issue most commonly are the cheaper lights from DX / KD, imho.

The cheap 3 AAA models do.

Well the Sona 3 AAA did.

I usually tap the light.

That's why I'm onto my next light a Fenix.

Not much more to add I'm afraid. You get what you pay for.

I've had incans and mini maglites that flicker, but brighten up and momentarily shine without flicker after tapping them...

I always assumed this was because buildup of some unknown substance between battery and terminals, and that tapping/shaking/etc made the batteries move, rubbing against the terminals, scratching off this unknown substance...

This question about flickering brings up something I am interested in asking about. I dropped my mini maglite recently on a hard floor. It is equipped with the nite-ize 3 led module. After picking it up, I was curious if it would still work. It did, but it was flickering alot. After awhile, it stopped and hasn't done it since. Is this typical? What causes it? I originally thought it was going to be permanent damage, but I guess not.
