What Modders Do In Their Spare Time

HERE is what ArcMania does in his *spare* time (*CAUTION - you will need big-time broadband before clicking on the link; it is an .avi filmclip that is over 10 megs in size).

Admittedly, to be able to accomplish this one must have a LOT of spare time, in fact more like having your whole life revolve around the activity should be the case. And to think in the few spare moments left he is also able to design (as well as microsolder and put into production) significant runs of incredibly ingenious converter boards (such as the one that went into the Super Baby Pin).

Another word of caution -- when you buy something from Mike, you better make double-dang SURE you PAY him...those who are able to view the cip will know what I mean...

Oops, also forgot to mention -- that's 445 pounds Mike is rowing with just one arm. It's probably a little more than the average for-show body builder will usually rep, and nearly double what I used to could Bench, even in my *much* younger rookie days...

What spare time? My 3 year old boy and 3 month old girl take up all my time. (sigh) I spend all spare time here with you guys.

Oh, I think my toddler could leave Arcmania whimpering on the floor after a bad day. Some times I wish a had a tranquilizing dart gun to bring him down, his energy can be boundless on some days.

Well, it's always been my theory that Mike doesn't really build those tiny micro converters. No sir, he starts out with regular size parts and just squeezes them down to the micro size with one hand after soldering. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif
