Ok so I have 2 old mag lights that have been floating around for 6 or 7 years that I think need a little updating. One is a black 4D and the other is a purple 3D (belongs to the wife so it must be done "right" or else I be in trouble). I need me some ideas on what to do with them as I am at a loss. Anyone?

One of the best and simplest upgrades is an LED drop in module. If I were you though, I'd do a full direct drive SSCp4 Mod with a custom heat sink available here on CPF. No messing around with battery carriers for driving hot bulbs and plenty of usable brightness and massive run times. Kind of like what 3rd_shift has done here:

Money is pretty much a non issue, as I will be taking my sweet time putting these together. And I have a lathe and most all of the tools to get it done so thats not a big deal either. Just looking for some ideas as this is one of those just for fun/waste of money/annoy the neighbors at night kind of things.
