What's a good efficient driver board for 1 cr123/rcr123?

Yes and no. It's really only a three mode board, not sixteen, if you don't want strobe and SOS modes. :D

If your LED operating voltage (Vf, or forward voltage of the diode) is just a little lower than the voltage your battery is supplying, any AMC7135-based driver is great. If you don't have enough volts or a few too many volts, they're not so useful since they'll gracefully drop out of regulation or just burn off excess volts as heat, respectively. Some Cree XR-R P4s have quite a low Vf but the more efficient bins (eg, Q5) I think normally want a bit more.

I use the driver known as SKU 7882 on DX in most of my CR123/RCR123 lights as it gives me very good regulation on both cell types and also because I can fine tune the output. It's a bit bigger so it might not fit in very small ligths.
