What's the size of SSC P7 core? A reflector for the answer!

I am designing the reflector for ssc P7, but I have not enough samples.
Is there any one who has removed the lens on SSC P7?

Only take this as a guess. I'm judging by the pictures and the info given on the spec sheets.

2.1 - 2.3mm(each die is ~ 1mm, + space in the middle). Probably closest to 2.1mm.

Have you tried contacting Seoul?

Assuming that the P7 uses the same chip footprint as the rest of its Z-LED brothers, I'd refer to this datasheet
as of yet though, Seoul hasn't released the internals, even today luxeon datasheets don't tell you the exact size of the dies. I did a search on it off the forum and it was one of few times where all google was able to pull up was earlier discussions from CPF

Probably 4x1mm^2 dies.. I think 1mmx1mm is standard die size. From that info you could determine the size of the gap between them with that picture. As looking through the dome will result in a larger image of the die than really is there of course.

My two P7's arived today, and I drug out some stuff. Stock 3D gag, a fairly deep reflector and bezel from I forget who, and a 5200 mah (unprotected) LiIon Dcell. Maybe this weekend. The other will go into a desert getaway shack lantern lightng.

well, if you want to counteract the dome I'd say you could try dunking it in water when you view it

I did that with a rebel I knocked the dome off, just to see what would happen. Impressively, it still functioned afterwards!

as long as the water isn't salty its more or less a non-capacitive insulator that not only prevents shorts but also keeps air off the phosphor surface and decrease oxidation from reducing the life of the emitter

I was told a "true" mule involves lighting up the LED under water, where the refraction of the dome is countered by the refracted properties of water.
