When did eveready change to plastic reflectors in the 6v lanterns?

Looking for a few with metal i can hotwire.
Other brands with metal reflector qualify too

Sears made one with a well made plastic reflector.

Plastic melts with hotwires.
Not saying that one cant take it but most will melt down.
I will be pushing a 6v 1.7a bulb 2s li or 6s nimh
