on your batteries? I keep seeing people talk about this but I have not saw a date anywhere....
thanks,
ken

Have you checked the Retail Packaging ?

Alkalines and NiMHs often have it printed on package,
in a much-easier-to-read format.

I checked the package and the batteries. I might of missed it so I will look again. They are Eneloops from MyBatterySupplier at Amazon.
Thanks,

Side of each battery.

It's clear and very hard to see .

Light has to hit it just right - and use a magnifier lens .

Runs the length of the batt.

Russel submitted an excellent image of the Eneloop's date code in this post Ken2step:

http://www.candlepowerforums.com ... post2891835

The 1st and 2nd digits represent the year the cell was manufactured, the 3rd and 4th represent the month, and it's generally believed the last two characters represent a batch code.

As indicated in the image, the code is situated along the longitudinal axis of the cell immediately above the seam of its jacket.

Ok!! Now I see why I could not find it....with my eyes I would certainly need a magnifying glass and know exactly where to look as I would not have ever looked for CLEAR stamping! Thanks very much for this information.
cheers,
Ken
