Hi everyone...

Just a bit of fun - but we may be able to swing ARC (The company) one way or another.

This is not a 'Where do you think?' but rather a 'Where do you hope?' Poll.

Regards

The choices are:

eBay.
The ARC site.
Here on CPF-MP via a lottery.
50 on eBay, 50 on the ARC site.

You forgot one other choice "I don't care where" for those who are buying no matter what or those who have decided not to buy no matter where.

EBAY.... its our best chance at buying multiple lights and if you want a specific number (like say 044) you could bid for it... this would help the collectors that want like number 001, 099 or 100 and are willing to pay 5, 6 or 700 dollars for the opportunity to get THAT specific light... where the rest of the numbers could sell for 2 or 3 hundred bucks... Just my .02

I said the following in another thread. I will quote it here.

"After all I have read and all the purchases of lights I have made, I personally think the Ebay idea is a good one."

Thanks,

Rick

I won't have the money for the first run, so my point is really moot, but I'd prefer they were sold through the Arc store.

I voted for 50/50 because it's the closest answer, but what I'd really like to see is more like 10/90 or 25/75. They can ebay off the first 10-25 a couple weeks early, maybe throw in some kind of "collectors edition" bonus to sweeten the deal, make a killing on the collectors who need those low numbered models or who just want to be among the very first, the majority of those can be locked inside a display case where it seems all of the first ones are supposed to end up, and then the remaining majority of them goes up for grabs on the site at a halfway reasonable price as it was said they would. That would make most everyone at least somewhat satisfied perhaps.

Even better, I'd like to see all 100 sold only to cpf members, limited to one each; but I wouldn't want it to be a lottery since then I (and the rest of the unlucky) would have absolutely no chance.

I don't find myself getting bent out of shape about the ebay concept, though I wouldn't buy from there myself. I don't know how likely I am to buy an LS6, but if I do, it would be from the Arc site, even if I have to wait longer.
