StreamChucker had posted a nice review of a Xenon/LED rechargeable flashlight made by Nuwai International ( http://www.nuwai.com.tw ). As usual I am slow at deciding I want one. But now the only place that I can find that sold it ( http://www.sportsmansguide.com/showad.html?ad_id=63971&ticket=18694877&urlseq=1145566049 ) is out of stock.

I emailed Mike Yang who is listed on the website as the USA contact for Nuwai but he didn't know of any retailers that sold the AN-606 model and referred me back here to CPF!

StreamChucker's review of it with pictures is here:

Anyone know of any other store selling the rechargeable version of this light or if sportmansguide.com will get any more in stock?

I also emailed the USA contact - he said to check back with him in a few months. Meanwhile, I emailed a nuwai link to one of my favorite online retailers, hinting that he might consider becomming a dealer.

Was on that site yesterday; the Nuwai light is no longer on there. Guess I got my rechargeable unit from Sportsman Guide just in time (mid December)...

Tsao,

I paid NT$2,800 for it when it first came out. BTW, I notice you have an Infinity. Have you seen any Infinity Ultras in Taiwan?

Boy, that really beats Surefire to the punch. I mean, I know this light has been mentioned before but now that I see all those pretty pictures...

Scary. Even down to the charger which looks like an updated CN400. Wow.

FYI

If you are still looking for this flashlight, Brookstone stores had them in stock about a week before Christmas (2002).

I can't tell you whether or not they were the rechargeable model.

Try Brookstone.
