Which 14500?

I would like to run some 14500's for my DX sku 1892 modded o Q5 to take full advantage of the board I have in there. Only thing is, I'm not sure which to get.

I definately want a protected cell, which leaves me with the following choices.

I'm leaning towards the Ultrafire since I've been impressed with their quality to price ratio in their flashlights, but that LiFePO4 looks good too, as its the "safer" chemistry, no?

What about AW's cells, would those be a good choice? If so, where's the best place to score some, marketplace?

What about chargers? Budget is an issue, but I definately want a decent unit; maybe http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.1251

AW's are considered some of the best. He sells cell/charger combo pack, available in the marketplace.

Ultrafire cells do not have a good reputation. They have proved unreliable and inconsistent. There have been numerous reports to this effect in other threads.

Cheap cells are a false economy. Do not waste your money on them.

AW's Li-Ion cells have a very good reputation for quality and reliability, and are highly recommended. You can get them through Lighthound or you can get them direct from AW.

Hmmm, looks like I may get myself a few AW 14500's and the UF WF-139 charger after the next payday... I could call it a christmas gift to...myself!
