Ok, i want a few h3 Bulb.

Can anyone tell me the modle number ( not sure thats the right word :grin2:)
of the 55 watt clear glass philips H3 Xenon bulb, or is it Osram ?
Those that go in those 3.5 mil candle power spotlights.
Basicaly im fedup of trying to order such bulbs and ending up with cheep cr*p.:sigh:

Anyone know the modle number of the above bulbs ?

I think you might be confused about what you want. Xenon is a heavy fill gas often used in conjunction with various halogens in a regular incandescent bulb, but is also often used as "slang" for certain types of HID bulbs which contain the same heavy fill gas. More often than not it is used as a buzz word to sell you something at an inflated price, a well designed halogen bulb is what you are probably looking for. The name brand H3 bulbs are usually just going to be sold as halogen bulbs. The word xenon doesn't need to be on the label for it to be good, in fact, in modern days, when dealing with automotive bulbs, avoiding buzzwords like that is probably much smarter.

:sigh: Nup.

I had some H3 55 watt incandescent bulbs that were as bright as Philips H3 incandescent 100 watt halogen bulbs. And thats what i want. Farly sure it said Xenon somewhere on the bulbs.

Hellllllllpppppppp

What you are looking for is the Phillips "Blue Vision". They are advertised as a "xenon upgrade". They are a high performance H3 bulb. Check out google for "Phillips h3 bulb" and you will find lots of auto parts suppliers with them and an Osram equivalent. These are often marketed as H3 +50 and similar. They actually are much brighter than standard bulbs though I have only used them in H1 and other than H3 configurations. Like all similar bulbs I don't think they last as long but certainly in a car they are worth the much higher price.

Blue Vision, thats those with blue color glass etc.

Im looking or clear glass.
Im in uk, the bulbs came from Ausralia as replacment torch bulbs.:confused::confused:

Both Osram and Narva make H3 xenon upgrades with clear "glass". I have a Narva H3 +30 which is clear as well as an Osram Silverstar (in H1) which also clear. Both say they have xenon fills. I'm in Australia so where did your bulbs come from?

I cant remember,
Im in UK, and had some torches shiped halfway around the world to me :D. Only to find a year later i could buy the torches in the UK :mecry:.

However, it was with these torches that I bought the 55 watt H3 bulbs. Plus also 55 watt H4 xenon clear glass.

I cant remember the website,
