The tendency to turn threads into discussions of pin-ups will need to stop. We're not a men's club, requiring a pin-up model for each thread sprinkled in for the enjoyment of a membership of exclusively men.
It's reminiscent of another board that managed to lock themselves into such a role, with extensive use of pin-ups in both their avatars and posts. It tends to deter ladies, younger members, and those that don't care to nudge one another and giggle over every beautiful woman's picture on the net.
When it completely alters the discussion topic of a thread, then it's destructive to the thread topic. When it starts to occur in too many threads, then it's destructive to the board. Continued thread diversion of the type, will likely end up with a thread closure or removal of multiple posts in order to restore the nature of the thread.
