A few customers asked why they couldn't charge xtar rechargeable 1.5V AA/AAA Li-ion batteries on the common Li-ion battery charger, such as VC4S. And it needs to get the specially desgined BC4/BC8 to charger for these 1.5V AA/AAA Li-ion batteries. More info are shown below.

For charging common 18650, 21700 Li-ion batteres, the batterties have the accurate cut-off voltage 4.2V (+-0.05V). Based on the characteristics, the better charging way for a smart charger is to adopt 3-stage charging methods: TC wake-up, CC fast-charge and CV fully charge. When the battery is almost fully charged, the charger starts CV charging to make sure the battery is fully charged and less damaged.

As for xtar rechargeable 1.5V AA/AAA Li-ion batteries, its principle is a 3.6/3.7V lithium battery be stepped down to a 1.5V constant voltage output through a regulating circuit module. This built-in battery management system ensures the output voltage of 1.5V. For charging these xtar 1.5V AA/AAA Li-ion batteries, it needs standard charging voltage is around 5V, keeps constant voltage charge. The common 3.7V Li-ion chargers can't be compatible with it, as a safety feature, this common charger won't charge it. And the BC4/BC8 is specially designed for these xtar 1.5V Li-ion AA batteries.
