Wiggum's got the X5T down, and he's laughing maniacally /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yellowlaugh.gif

Edited to add: It's alive! It's alIVE! IT's ALIVE! Muhahahaha....ha. I potted the converter, mounted and wired the led, and slipped it all together. Does the nervousness when you test out your mod for the first time ever go away? Anyway, it works great! I still don't have the Fraen LPs yet, but I think I may have to put either one of those or even an NX05 in it.

VERY VERY nice ! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Yep, I HAVE to do this now. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Can you please explain alittle more, how you did the switch?
I dont quite understand how you made the polarities reversed.

I THINK I understand, the spring holds the metal disk back away from the body, and when pressed, the metal disk touches a lip on the body?

jtice, correct. The spring pushes the contact away from the body. When you press the button, the contact touches the lip of the body which has had the anodizing removed (came that way from the factory).

ufokillerz: Doh! Doh! Why didn't I think of that? Maybe for the next one I do. Although, the DB700 + 2 cells should make for a nice long runtime.

Oh boy, why can't Inova do this from the factory?! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif Maybe call it the XLS-T instead of X5-T?

Very nice Chief. That's almost the perfect EDC for me...
