Will a MC-E fit a TIR-Optik?

Hello!

I have sevral old lights with TIR-Optik...:whistle:

Will a MC-E mod fit a TIR-Optik? Does anyone have experiences with that case? :)

The MC-E dome itself isn't too large but it depends on the optic. I don't believe it will fit well in ones designed for old Luxeons, and the beam will almost definitely be ugly if it does. It didn't look so great in some of the ones for XR-E's according to a beam shot thread over in the LED section either.

I hear the cross hairs are apparent in most of the more narrow optics, even the ones designed for the MC-E.

So i will need a good reflector.

A light frosting to the front of an optic will blur the cross-hairs and retain most of the benefits of an optic.
