Will Peak ever increase their presence on this forum?

I love my Peak lights. I have a brass Rainier, a couple of HA Matterhorns, and a SS Caribbean. I also have a few more on the way. It's nice to be able to call them on the phone and speak to Curt, who is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They provide great service on the phone and are helpful in choosing and ordering lights and accessories.

On the other hand, people on CPF have complained about their website for a LONG time. There have been emails and jeers that have gone unanswered for extended periods. I don't think I'm alone in wondering if Peak's involvement on CPF is at an end. Do they monitor this forum anymore? Has anyone ever gotten an email answered?

I would love to see them fix up their website, start interacting on the forum, and in general boost their internet presence. I don't mind calling them, but there are lots of others who would prefer to order online. I feel like with their new models coming out, they are missing out on an opportunity for huge exposure. People who would be buying their lights are buying other brands instead.

Thoughts?

I agree. They make superb lights. It's like they make the smaller AAA and AA lights Surefire should have made. They are beautifully made and they can be had in many variations to suit your needs and tastes.

It's a pity they draw so little attention on cpf.

Kind regards,
joris

I found it too frustrating and irritating trying to make sense of Peak's website.

It's almost like an old, obscure computer game. :candle:

You know the info you want is ( or, at least should be )

on their website, Somewhere.

But good luck tryin' to Find It ! ! !

After half-a-dozen attempts, i simply gave up in anger.

Don't have the time or patience for such forKaround games.

Good-bye, Peak.

+1,
I have plenty of white/red/UV peaks running AAA/AA NiMH cells and they all work very well. My Baltic HA3 single AAA SP works very well and has been my EDC for over 6 months and always works. Always and in very rough conditions that destroy lesser lights.
Just wonder if they are quietest before they unlease the next thing... hmmmm.

I feel your pain, and so do dozens of other CPF members. I just know if they fixed their website, they would get a LOT more traffic and a lot more buzz around here.

Don't want to add myself into the list, but here I am. Beyond any doubt, Peak make their share of the greatest lights in the world today, where a vast majority of stuffs are too commercialized and overhyped with advertising to be truly reliable. Sadly, Peak's communication leaves a lot of room to be desired. It's hard to believe a manufacturer with rocket-technology know-how seems oblivious of today's common means of communication. MESSAGE TO PEAK: Sorry to say so, Robyn, but if you happen to stop by and read these threads, please listen to us for once and start to improve the Peak website as well as your e-communications. We are absolutely sure that once you do so, you'll double both the number of your happy, loyal customers and your very sales volume. You don't ever be scared of these two things, do you?

I too would love more Peak presence here. The Peak First Responder seems like such a great light [from reading the datasheet] and has received such little buzz here. Alot of their other lights seem under-appreciated also, probably because of their website.

I totally agree! Not all the customers are resident of the USA, contacting and ordering by phone is really out of the question, not to mention the different time zones across the world.

I must admit that I do like Peak lights very much since their design and built are unique, powerful lights that fit in the palm of your hand, boosted with materials such as brass, stainless steel and titanium. They are simply irresistible:cool:.

However, if they do not increase their presence on the Internet, improve their web site and e-mail response, potential customers are certainly discouraged

I have the First Responder light,
LOVE that it runs on practically anything from 2AA to 2 CR123A batteries. Mine is setup to run on three NiMH AA cells and my wife uses it as the house light. It is the "medium" light that my family uses all the time.
I really like Peaks, they don't give me any problems and are very durable tools. Hey... I like stainless steel and brass...
Used my Peak Baltic SP (SSC LED) AAA light today...use it most days and it always works. Sometimes if the tool always works...what is there to talk about?

Good call. There aren't a lot of issues for us to discuss, fortunately. Mind posting some pictures of your First Responder? That is another one of Peak's shortcomings - not enough good pictures on their website! You can never have too many.

Benthead

any beamshots of your Red LED peaks

I would love to get a matterhorn with a red led , but would like to see some beamshots first

Just today I started trying to learn about Peak lights. I read about their interchangeable heads and thought they might be a good option for a friend joining the military (red, UV, and white LEDs).

But I have trouble getting info from their website. Which LEDs do they use and what bin?

I need a product line overview and explanation, but the Catalog and Product Info on the Download tab don't work. Is there some other place I can get this info?

Thanks,

Luke

Call them and get a catalog on CD sent to you.

Agreed, the website is a pain and could be a lot more user-friendly.

In this day and age, there's no excuse for a crappy website, really.

That said, I ordered my two Peaks direct from them and it was a very smooth transaction.

Granted I had Doug's reviews to help me then, which is not the case now, so that did make a difference.

But really, they should get more love than they do.

Proper descriptions for each model and a comparison grid would help a lot. Not to mention a web configuration wizard for ordering. Since they are all about customization why not allow for custom build quotes right on the page... Ah well maybe some day.
