I stumbled upon the Wilson Combat LED while I was looking for a high visibility shotgun follower. I never knew they offered any illumination tools before and had to do a double take when I read the description. . .
Wilson Combat LED Weapons Light With over 100 intensely focused lumens and a 100 hour runtime from 3 common AAA batteries (included) this weapon light is perfect for CQB handgun use or mounting on your tactical rifle. Bright LED white light is activated by a rear pressure switch (momentary or constant on) and allows you to shoot a precise shot at distances out to 150 yards. Shock resistant with machined aluminum housing.
For those who have never heard of Wilson Combat before they are known for their custom 1911 pistols. I’m not sure if they manufacture these lights themselves or not. My Google Fu turned up notta.

Any experts here on CPF have any experience with the lights or any information on them. I can’t believe that an LED that can admit 100 + lumens can run for 100 hours on three AAA batteries.

Looks like a re-banded COAST/LEDLenser light.

Output will diminish greatly over the first few minutes of operation, and you'll never get that great a runtime from 3AAA's.

Avoid it. Purchase something better quality.

Uses 3AAA batteries?! And it's $85?!

There are MUCH better lights out there for WAY less money!

I'll pass! :thumbsdow

Wilson continues branching out faster than their reputation and quality can follow. They did this with ARs as well - noone regards their ARs as highly as their 1911s or even consider them a decent alternative to KAC, Noveske, Colt, etc. It is always a shame when great, reputable brands are diluted.

If it's a rebranded LED Lenser as was suggested by an above poster I can only assume 100 lumens is the emitter lumens with completely fresh batteries at room temperature, and 100 hours of run time is unregulated, constantly dimming output until there's not even a glow in the LED.

That's exactly what it is! Very disappointed that the company chose to cheap out on quality by going with a COAST/LED Lenser re-brand. Those who are into handguns and Wilson for self-defense, they already know about SureFire. But they might not be hardcore into lights. I can see someone picking this "Wilson" light over a better quality light that's more appropriate for S.D.
