Wire gauge for dynamo application

I am still waiting for the diodes and capacitors to arrive, and then I will start constructing the lights. A few more miscellaneous questions for those in the know.

For the AC wire, use 22 gauge to the Shimano Hub?

For the DC wire, what gauge to use? The wire will run to the rear of the bike. Is 22 gauge enough?

Any other helpful hints?
